I'm finding the Canon 1DMIII to be great for HDR--it can AEB up to 7
shots at up to three stops between each--and for daytime shoots with
fast shutter speeds can shoot those off in just 7/10ths of a second
which is fast enough with a wideangle lens to minimize camera shake,
and can freeze people, too.<br>
<br>
6 total shots combined in CS3 and Tonemapped in Photomatix Pro...<br>

<div>oh yea?? thats so cool. So do you work for popphoto in the main office there and do the admin stuff throughout the day as part of your job? </div><div> </div><div>Does pop photo have any classes or anything like that? Do you go on a lot of photo ops around the area? If you do, i would definately like to join you sometime....maybe learn a thing or two.</div>

<div>Nice shot, looks a tad surreal but still nice. Can I go with you on a shoot?</div>

This is great. You've posted some really nice shots before (the church with the fish fry comes to mind), but this is my favorite to date. Any chance of seeing the originals?<br><div></div>

<div>Neat, so, <em>can I go with you on a shoot? </em>I'd be glad to help test some new equipment!!!</div>

What if it's <span>:cool:</span> <i>NIKON</i> gear???!!!<br><div></div>

<div>If its Nikon gear I'll have to borrow a camera, but I'd be more than happy to test anything. Just because I am a self proclaimed Canonist, and I recomend Canon, and I use pretty much only Canon, dosn't mean anything else is'nt as good. Im a Canonist, not a Canonite, you should check out some of the Nikonites, but be warned, you're getting into a cat fight.</div>

Just as long as I don't have to vote. I like my dual citizenship.<br><div></div>

<div>My question for you is, did you take 5 different exposures with the camera? Or just one with the camera and then make 5 different exposures on the computer?</div>

Scott: It was 5 (or 6--I can't remember which I ended up using) source shots from a 7-shot AEB burst in-camera at 2.7 EV spacing, IIRC...I don't have the source files on my home computer, which is why I'm ballparking here--but done in-camera, in any event :)<br><div></div>

<div>Ah 2.7EV apart! I have been trying 1 to 1.5 apart, and keep getting ghosting. I will have to give that a try.</div><div> </div><div>Thanks!</div>

Scott: The EV wouldn't have much to do with the ghosting--that's elements moving between frames...<br><br>The Mark III can shoot off a burst of 7 frames in 7/10 second--so it's that very little time difference that minimizes the ghosting in this scene...

<div>Oh ok... Yea that makes a lot more sense. HA and i thought my 5fps was pretty good. ;)</div>
