I came across a polaroid picture that I know to be at least 10 years old - due to the subjects in the photo. However, I did not record the actual date (year) of when the photo was taken.

I've never gave much attention to the serial-number type of code that appears on the backside of polaroid pictures. I have no idea what, if anything, they mean. But now that I think about it, logic tells me that the number combination may actually stand for something - and MAYBE one could determine the year that the film was printed based on this number.

Does anyone know what the serial number code on the back of the polaroid pictures mean?

Is there any way for me to determine the age of a polaroid photograph?

Thanks.
