I loaded images into my Mac Powerbook GE using a PC Card Adapter. The pics were taken on an Epson PC200 camera that I am borrowing. No software came with it.
Anyway, to identify the pictures, I deleted a number sequence, 91070085.JPG and put a title, like "Big Face", so I could identify the picture easier.
When I load the CF card back into the camera, the camera no longer detects that image and I can't see it on the camera's screen.
Why?
Hi,
I am not familiar with your particular camera but:
Other cameras as Nikon Coolpix Nikon D1X Olympus Camedia ... show the same issue.
When you change the photos on your mac you render them useless for the camera which expects to find everything in the way the camera saves.
I'll recommend you to never change data on a card. Always transfer the images to the computer! and only after do what you wish with them.
Just for technical clarity, the Mac writes invisible files to the card as Desktop database ...

Take care of your cards! You really do not want to loose the images. After transfering pics to the computer always format the card in the camera!
Trust me you want to do it to make sure the cards are always fresh for use, and you avoid the question "Did I already transfer those images"
