I am heading to San Diego the third weekend in May for business and plan to extend my business trip into a mini vacation. As I have never been to San Diego, I would love any recommendations for scenic places to photograph. Or any other must see places?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I would suggest:

La Jolla cliffs (Get up close and personal with the seals!)
Old Point Loma Lighthouse (Beautiful at sunset)
Mt. Helix (Overlooks the whole city)
Coronado Island (Hotel Del Coronado, they have gold in the sand!)
and of course, San Diego Zoo/Balboa Park are a must see.
Lots of good suggestions -- Some others might be the Old City, a train (trolley) ride down to the border - walk across to Mexico better than driving in, I found for a short visit anyway.
There are boat rides that go into the navy base -- if you shoot there or any where where you might be surrounded by water don't forget to + compensate. Some good food along the dock. Great place to just enjoy.

Many thanks for all the great suggestions!
If I have some fantastic shots, I will have to post them on the reader gallery. Although with the great talent over on that board, I am sure I will be a bit shy posting pictures. Yes, I am my worst critic.

I practically grew up there. The other mentioned areas are good suggestions. Also, go to Old Town. And there is a great photography gallery in Balboa park. Check it out. It is one of the best zoo's, anywhere. La Jolla seaside cliffs are great. Do the Sea Cave, etc. Balboa Park is cool too.
