I saw an article a few issues back about digital photo lighting. I have misplaced the magazine and wold like to know the model of a kit advertised in the article. It was a Photoflex kit advertised for $308 - regular $475 if all items purchased separately. Photoflex web site does not help. Any help would be appreciated.
Here is the actual text from Page 52 of the February 2002 issue:
Photoflex has brought to market a simple and affordable tungsten lighting kit designed to turn digital shooters into studio photographers. The Photoflex Digital Lighting Kit ($308) includes a 500W Starlite 3200 softbox; a smaller SilverDome nxt soft box for fill light; a four-section 7 foot, eight inch light stand; and a CD with a step-by-step crash course on basic digital lighting and image-processing techniques, courtesy of Photoflex's WebPhotoSchool.com All Photoflex lights are well-vented, balanced for 3200K, utilize tough heat-resistant materials, and produce soft, even lighting.
Oversized aluminum tubing, reinforced brace supports and riveted joints are designed to ensure durability. A selection of grids, baffles and other accessories are available from PhotoFlex to further expand your light-shaping abilities.
