Hello,
I am a photographer and am looking to just touch on the wedding photography business as something on the side.
I don't want to put a great deal of money into the business; but I want to find some online sites which are popular with wedding photography seekers; who offer simple and cheap online advertising.
I have put postings on Craigslist.com and the So Calif local Recycler.com and have been happy with the sparradic responses I have received.
I am just looking to do a wedding or two a month if available.
Any ideas, thoughts, experience on this?
Thanks for your help.
I live and work in southern Calif.
Look for web sites in your area which get a lot of younger people (age 18-30) browsing and see if they'd let you run an ad. Don't tell anybody, but here is one of my advertising secrets. If I'm in a restaurant and see a female waiting tables, I usually give her a business card. If she's wearing an engagement ring, be sure to smile and as you hand her the card say, "Let me give you a business card, you may need it one day".

I also leave a business card with a tip. I've booked weddings doing this and the cost to me was minimal. Some of these females aren't getting married but most will know at least one friend who is getting married. You want your name to be in their mind when they set the wedding date.
Best,
