This is a very good photo in my opinion. I will agree with the comments of others that the flowers look slightly artificial. Actually, I think the contrast between the color and b/w actually make it look like the flowers were put in the photo after the actual shot. But a look at the hands reveals that this is not true. Please tell me how u did this photo. I love the effect and I really want to use it in my own photos. Thanks, good luck, and good job!
P.S. This is my first post. i am new to the forums. i finally decided to sign up.

Hey Kermit, thanks for the comments. It was done in
photoshop. Here are the steps that we normally take to create the
effect of b/w with color highlights.

1. with photo open, creat a new layer

2. desaturate newly created layer, so now you have color layer on bottom and b/w layer on top (you will only see the b/w layer)

3. with the eraser tool, simply erase the parts of the b/w layer that you want to color to show through.

oh yeah. I know everyone has been saying the flowers look fake
but even if you saw them in person they were just that vibrant. I
went back and slightly desaturated the photo and this is what I came up
with.
You may have nailed the exposure but I think the pose with the flowers , one in each FIST, ......is awful.

Her cleavage should have been left out and the flowers placed closer together for symbolism or at least a more impactful photograph.
If you want to include her dress/cleavage than get her face too.
I don't think this works at all.
just my .02, nothing personal.
