I recently traded a couple of Exakta pieces to a friend for this lens. It kind of goes with my Sigma APO 70-200, and I think I can make this zoom work for me in the concert hall. This shot of one of my violin students was taken at 1/10 second at f3.5, ambient light, ISO 3200, handheld with shake reduction engaged. My studio is painted dark blue and is lit only by one overhead chandelier and a side window. I think this illustrates 1) I can work with zooms and like them. This new one is a keeper 2) the Pentax K100D is a fine low light camera. Also, I'm trying another post here: Pixeldog, this is the suggestion you gave to Canonist. Let's see what happens<a target="_blank" href="http://i.pbase.com/g6/52/762152/2/78191199.uPC1GutM.jpg">http://i.pbase.com/g6/52/762152/2/78191199.uPC1GutM.jpg</a><div></div>

Well, the picture shows up if you click on the URL, but the picture is still hidden. Thanks, Mark. This is so far the easiest way of posting. I'll keep trying. One day my prints will come. (sorry JMS)<br><div></div>

<div>I really like my Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 EX, I call it the &quot;poor man's L-glass&quot;. ;)</div><div> </div><div>It runs a close second to my favorite lens, the Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 which seems a bit sharper.</div><div>Best,</div><div> </div><div>Andy</div><div> </div>

Thanks a lot, Scott. And thanks for sending the directions to me. Now let's see if I can follow them. I'll put the Pine Beetle forest shots in Snapshot Cafe tonight. If your directions don't work, I'll know then that it's a Linux problem. Either that or I'm a total computer moron.<br><br>

<div>Gordon,</div><div> </div><div>This shot is very sharp, and the lighting is fantastic. She has a confident look to her that I am sure is evident in her music.</div><div> </div><div>Nice.</div>
