Mundane, ya I could see that on a few of the newer ones. Just not a whole lot to keep your attention. #4 Top Coats, I really did like, besides the b&w, its the wide angle, just draws you in closer. Reminds me of an old James Dean shot where he is walking down the street with a smoke. Looks like a very interesting exhibit dating back to the 50's though.
I agree too. The "Top Coats" image is the only one I really care for, and even it ain't all that hot. Must not be too many people participating. Either that or the judge has a pretty unique idea about what makes a good shot.
Well, I'm sure that some of them look better in actual exhibition than web viewing, but I think this represents a deliberate attempt (in some instances) to redefine what a good street photo is.
It reminds me of those experimental forms of fiction that just track what somebody does day to day, without any effort to tell a "story" or sharpen the drama.
