White balancing with Adobe Photoshop (ver. 5.0)

Does someone know how to white balance with this software? I did not find such a function, only "autolevel". Does it operate the same way (well, some trials, using "autolevel" for RGB, did not gave true colors)? If not an automatic function (which I doubt if does not exist), maybe a manualy way to correct common situations (like applying the classical filters - 80A, 81A,82A,FL, maybe to the "color balance" function)?

    Thanks

Open the Curves or Levels window. There you will see 3 eyedroppers. Select the white eyedropper and click it on anything you think should be white.

You can do the same thing with the gray eyedropper, looking for something you think should be gray...the brightness won't matter.

It may take several tries until you find the right pixel to bring the rest of the image into decent coloration.
