Anybody familiar with the canon T70? where does it fit in the canon lineup? What were it's features, good and bad ? One at a local hockshop looks mint?
The T70 is a Canon FD mount body. It has a built in motor drive, etc- Similar to early EOS lower end cameras, only it is a manual focus camera. But it won't work with EOS lenses or flashes. Only FD mount lenses and Canon manual focus dedicated or non-dedicated flashes.
The T70 came out in 1984,It is a manual focus, auto exposure camera.I had one until I went auto focus, nice camera. Here is a couple of links for more info
IT was a great starters camera for me back then, the only things I didn't like about it was that is had a really slow winder, 1.2 fps. My T70 had served as my backup to my T90 and had gave me over 10 years of trouble free use. Hope I can say the same for the T90.
Camera had Shutter and Aperture priority and full auto settings. Manual can be done by putting the camera on Shutter priority and turning the aperture rim on the lens to desired aperture. It also had 3 metering modes, center, partial and average.
