    An Ubuntu/Linux Question

The file browser in Ubuntu reads both Pentax and Nikon RAW files as icons, but does not read Canon RAW files at all. They show up in my file manager as icons, but not in the browser. It's not a big deal as I convert them to JPEG either simultaneously in camera, or in Bibble Pro. But it's just an inconvenience.

    Can anybody help?

Do you mean that the icons don't show up in Nautilus? The one thought I had, if that's the case, is to check the filenames. If a filename starts with a period, that sets it as "hidden", and it won't typically be visible. Try hitting Control-H.

Thanks Jesse. No they don't show up in G-Thumb, the viewer. It simply says "no image" for Canon files. Sorry - I don't always use the right computer term. They show up in Thunar (file manager) just fine.
