I have been a fan of Mr. Keppler for many years. I think

since I read "The Pentax Way." I am a long time Pentax

user and he was always kind to the brand. I will miss his

writing a lot. I think every issue of POP from now on I will

open it up while hugging my old Pentax Spotmatic and think

about him.

Yes, Mr. Keppler was very good at informing us that there were many more photographic options than the the brands that get the most attention.

A friend of mine is a Pentax shooter (entered photography with a Pentax digital P&S and is now using a K10D). As a result of our discussions, I've become more aware of what Pentax is doing and I'm impressed with them.

I have a Pentax K100D Super because of Mr. Keppler's praise of the Pentax digital SLRs. I will sorely miss his writings on photography. Perhaps PopPhoto will give us a compendium of his writings in a special issue, book, or online medium?! Thanks, Mr. Keppler for all your contributions to our shared passion: photography!
