Oh Herbert, if only you would come back and get the re-vamped Pop Photography magazine back on track!

As much as I liked Burt Keppler, I have my doubts even he would be able to follow the dictates of his heart while also trying to maintain sufficient readership in this time of declining print media of all kinds.

Here's an interesting thought ... what if ...
POP were to continue to crank out whatever they thought would sell on the news stands to newbies (heavily oriented towards new equipment) ...
and also put out an on-line 'zine more heavily oriented to moderate to advanced photographers more interested in technique and images?

Would you be willing to pay for such an on-line publication?
    If so, how much?

    Editing and cropping defined:
You know what to leave out, and less will often communicate more.

When Mr. Keppler passed it was very hurtful to the magazine and his readers. I really looked foward to reading his colums.

Back in the 70's I always preferred Modern Photography to Pop because I enjoyed reading Keppler more than reading Rothschild. Not that I didn't like Rothschild, I just liked Keppler better.

Pop went on to totally digital so I don't have much to read for a few years. I kept reading Pop just to read Kepler's column. Now I have no reason to read Pop. Sometimes I picked up an issue of Pop at the bookstore and I finished reading it in like 15 minutes.
