What is the first annual Medusa challenge? The 1st annual Medusa challenge is an opportunity for the finest photographers among us to pull their singularly most hideous shot from the archives. Yes this is going to be a little different, and as always we'll be operating on the honor system. The Dusies are dedicated to those photographs so bad that we've kept them from the light of day out of pure shame. They are sufficiently repulsive to turn those who gaze upon them to stone.
The only requirement of this challenge which ends at midnight March 31st, 2010, is that they be legitimately horrendous photographs, that you took while trying to produce a good ones. In other words no fake bad pictures, we deal here with the worst photography that occurs only through the serendipitous nature of Murphy's Law.
Yes friends, here is the golden opportunity for your best ever photograph to shine by comparison. Here's your chance to rid yourself of the millstone of humiliation hanging around your neck that only you can see. Here's where the catharsis takes place, and you proudly say, "yes, I admit it, I have taken awful pictures, what of it!pith
P.S. THERE'S A VERY GOOD REASON I DON'T DO PEOPLE PICTURES. MY WIFE CLAIMS I EXCEL IN EXECUTION STYLE PHOTOGRAPHY, BUT STILL WHO DO THEY COME TO WHEN THEY NEED PASSPORT PHOTOS? THE MOTHER IN LAW BELOW...

Well, pith, now I'm gonna hafta save 'em. Up to now, I've always purged those baddies from the flashcard as soon as I saw 'em on the camera's LCD.

I got a PM from 'Pith threatening that if I didn't enter this challenge he'd bring down all sorts of horrible things on me (frogs, boils, darkness, water turning into blood, death of my firstbor)..... Hey! Wait a second!
I remember reading about this stuff somewhere else.
Still, you never know what kind of powers and abilities far beyond those of Mortal Men someone like 'Pith has, so I guess I'd better enter, just to be on the safe side.

Here's mine.......I never went through this folder to look at the pictures thoroughly, It's the time I had a wedding to shoot, MC races and the 4th of July. This is one from the 4th of July.

Hey Sharna, Can you shoot another one just like this of Pith??? Maybe we could talk him into using it as his avatar and greatly improve the esthetic appeal of the PopFurums.
It takes a special photographer to make a prom queen look like the wicked witch of the East's ulgy sister.
