Neo, one thing I forgot that may or may not be important to you, is focus speed. Sigma lenses with HSM motors focus very fast and quietly. I have the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 without VC and the focusing is slower and noisier than my Nikon AF-S or Sigma HSM lenses. There is not a big difference, buy it is noticeable.
