There are a few ways to submit images to be Photo of the Day, but now you'll be able to do so right here as well. Here's how to do it:
Post a version of your image that's big enough to be featured. 800x600 will do it, but you can go slightly bigger if you want.
Give us a short description of the shot, including tech specs (like shutter speed, aperture, ISO, Camera and Lens) as well as a link to where people might be able to see more of your work.
By posting an image in this thread, you're agreeing to let us host the image in our Photo of the Day gallery. You retain all ownership of the image and are granting us permission to let it live in that gallery only.
When an image is selected, we'll delete the post out of here to keep things neat and tidy.
Only post images you want considered. Any post that isn't a submission will also be deleted. Feel free to talk about images in other threads. We'll keep this one to its explicit purpose.
Looking forward to seeing all the great work!

I tried this yesterday but it wouldn't let me. Edited in Silver Efex Pro 2 (pinhole and sepia.)

It was a old and windy day along Prentiss Bay in Cedarville, Michigan. As a part of the Les Cheneaux Islands, this outcropping of stones displays some color against the bleak winter landscape. A steady wind from the west and the setting sun cast shadows and made for a dramaitc abstract of snow and stones. It reminded me of what the surface of the moon could look like.

This image was taken with a Canon 50D at F11, ISO 100, 1 second, no flash. This is a crop of the original.
This was one of my first HDR photos. Taken in 2008, it has paid for all my photo equipment.
Taken with my old Canon 40D and a 28-135mm lens. ISO 100 F 5.0
