Hmmm.......... I wonder if the manufacturer lists this feature in it's spec chart. I've checked the G10 specs on the Canon site and I can't find anything.

That scale is in every camera since cameras have had meters, hence not a special feature. It is found in the view finder and consists of several vertical lines. An explanation of it is probably in the instruction book.

Nope, nobody wants theirs compare to anyone else's.

and it is something that is tested for at review sites like DPR

the best way to control it is to know it is there.
Just like the old days with slide film.
but now we have ways to deal more effectively with its limits.
